Jay Harman

CEO & President, PAX Scientific

Jay is the CEO of PAX Scientific and Founder of PAX Water. He has developed a number of successful companies, including ERG Australia Ltd that he took to a highly successful IPO as CEO. ERG went on to become one of Australia’s most successful technology companies. Jay has extensive experience in technology licensing and is the author of numerous patents. His designs have won numerous design awards and his products have been featured on the international television series “Discovery.”

Francesca Bertone

COO, PAX Scientific

Francesca serves as COO for PAX Water’s parent company, PAX Scientific. She has more than 20 years of experience in operations, program administration and education. Before founding PAX Scientific, Francesca served as director of operations for Tank & Pipe Welding Pty Ltd in Australia. She started her career in the California public school system, serving as a teacher, vice principal and school board member.

Laura Bertone

CFO, PAX Scientific

Laura joined PAX Scientific as CFO following 18 years in the banking industry. She is a Chartered Bank Auditor and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. During her tenure as a corporate auditor with Bank of America, she managed the Global Capital Markets/Investment Banking Group, Retail Audit Group and Development and Training Teams. She has been a member of the PAX Scientific Board of Directors since its incorporation in 1997.

T. Chris Boyd

President, Utility Service Group

Chris Boyd oversees operations and management of Utility Service Group’s businesses across the nation. In this capacity, he has overall responsibility for all of the company’s activities and business lines. He also serves on the Board for USG. Chris joined USG in 2006 with the specific mission to expand the product portfolio that the company offers to its more than 2000 clients. Before joining USG, Boyd was Director of North American Operations for Imerys, a worldwide mineral processing company. Chris has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic and State University.

Peter S. Fiske, Ph.D.

CEO, PAX Water Technologies

As CEO of PAX Water, Peter brings expertise in advanced materials, fluid mechanics and heat transfer and is responsible for technology development and validation. He previously served as the VP of R&D for PAX Scientific. Earlier, he led a research team at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he authored more than 20 technical articles. Peter also served as White House Fellow in the Department of Defense and is a nationally recognized author and lecturer. Peter holds a bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) from Princeton, a Ph.D. from Stanford and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
