PAX Water Vortex

Uniqueness of PAX Technology
“Our analysis of the PAX mixing impeller demonstrated marked differences in fluid handling capabilities as compared to conventional devices—in particular, the PAX impeller provides strong flow conditioning and the ability to form coherent and stable recirculation in tanks of very large size. We clearly demonstrated the ability of the mixer to move fluid throughout the entire tank. This characteristic appears to be a unique feature of PAX Technology.”

Cultivating the Next Generation of Bio-Inspired Designers

In 2008, PAX Water invited students from the school’s Technology Pilot Program to assist in a biomimicry design project. Seven students accepted the challenge: propose designs that would extend the elegance and bio-functionality of the PAX Lily impeller into the rest of the mixer system. Product Engineer Brian Mifsud served as PAX liaison to the group, and three PHS teachers acted as advisors … [read the press release]
